As part of my role leading Antidote Projects, I worked closely with the team at the Lock-Up to curate ‘Dancing with the Dead’, which also included negotiating and funding select artists to make commissioned works.

As part of Antidote’s thematic exploration of ‘traces’, I organised an expanded exhibition series between ALASKA Projects and Wellington Street Gallery. Alongside my friend and colleague James Nguyen, I co-curated a group exhibition entitled ‘The Trace’ – exploring traces as a collective trauma or misfortune, that can enable us to face the past with a profound depth of meaning, through their reanimation and re-contextualisation. This is the first iteration of an ongoing project and features work from five prolific, contemporary artists including: Lindy Lee and Abdul-Rahman Abdullah. I also produced and commissioned a series of video and installation works with artist Jason Phu to present at Alaska Projects Gallery.
As part of the Sydney Opera House’s inaugural event ‘Antidote: a festival of Ideas, Art & Action’, I worked with Michael Reid Sydney and Christian Thompson to curate an outdoor exhibition on the Western Forecourt. As we were working within Antidote Organisation’s quarterly theme ‘Engender’, I chose to show Christian’s 2017 series ‘Lake Dolly’ as it beautifully encapsulated issues of gender and identity through vivid floral imagery; highlighting the symbiosis between ideals of masculinity and nature.
For Antidote’s quarterly themed group show ‘Engender’, I curated an exhibition at ALASKA Projects to compliment our outdoor exhibition collaboration with the Sydney Opera House – (see more at Lake Dolly). This process involved contacting / liaising with all artists and their relevant representation, organizing delivery & installation and developing a curatorial essay.
For Antidote’s second quarterly themed group show, I curated an exhibition at Collab Gallery, above the Pine Street Creative Art Centre. This process involved contacting all artists and in some cases, discussing the commissioning and creation of new works within the curatorial theme. It also included liaising regarding delivery, installing the show, and providing a curatorial short essay.
